If you've visited The Clover Station on N. Main Street, chances are you've met Ms. Pat, who embodies a perfect blend of hard work, love, Southern cooking, and genuine charm. From her delicious fried chicken to her comforting mac and cheese and flavorful green beans, every dish reflects her dedication and passion.

If you know her, you love her! Pat Bingham, fondly known as Ms. Pat, reflects on the journey that led to the establishment of The Clover Station, a cherished restaurant that has become a cornerstone in the community. Her story began with a prayer for purpose after retiring from a life of travel. As she drove through Clover, she spotted a vacant spot at a traffic light, envisioning it as an ideal location for a restaurant. Despite objections from her children, Ms. Pat pursued her dream, driven by her love for cooking and the joy of gathering her family around the dinner table each evening. Ms. Pat recalls, “I love to cook and have always cooked for my family. We would sit down together at the dinner table at 5:30 pm when my husband would get home from a long day at work. It was a time to talk about everyone's day.”
The Clover Station isn't just a place to eat; it's a hub for celebration and togetherness, where people come together to enjoy Ms. Pat's delicious Southern cooked meals. Established in 2009, the restaurant has become a beloved fixture in Clover, celebrating 15 years of serving hearty Southern dishes. Ms. Pat's commitment to quality is evident in the staggering amounts of food her restaurant serves weekly: 60 pounds of Pinto Beans, 850 pieces of Corn Bread, 1225 Homemade Biscuits, 60 Pans of Mac & Cheese, 350 Pieces of Chicken, and 200 Gallons of Tea.
Beyond its culinary contributions, The Clover Station holds a special place in Ms. Pat's heart as a symbol of the community's support and kindness towards her. As she reflects on the impact of her restaurant, Ms. Pat acknowledges how Clover has also enriched her life in countless ways. Her journey from retirement to entrepreneurship is a testament to following one's passion and the power of community in making dreams a reality.
